Help save and rebuild Palmyra

Your photos will help us create a digital model

Palmyra is an ancient city 215km (134 mi) northeast of Damascus, Syria.  It was once a prosperous regional center.  Its wealth enabled the inhabitants to construct monumental projects, such as the Great Colonnade, the Temple of Bel, and the distinctive tower tombs. (Wikipedia)

Today, the priceless buildings and artifacts there are being destroyed by ISIL as well as the effects of weather and erosion.

But you can help us reconstruct a digital model of these famous monuments by submitting any photos you have of Palmyra. We’ll plug your digital photos into our advanced software and use them to help build and refine digital models of the monuments, temples, and buildings of Palmyra!
